Performance based Management Contract for the Water and Sewerage Company U.K. Kavajë sh.a., Republic of Albania, KfW financed

For four years AquaMundo assumes full operational, maintenance and management responsibility of the water supply and sewerage system of the company U.K. Kavajë sh.a. under a performance based management contract.

Main performance objectives are:

• Increase hours of water supply service to costumers, starting from 4-6 h/day to 24h/day
• Identify and legalize illegal connections
• Significantly reduce unacounted for water
• Increase the bill collection rate to 95%
• Supervision of investment programs
• Build and operate first wastewater treatment plant in Albania
