Usbek Water Management GmbH & Co. KG has been established as a special purpose company to carry out the management contract. The company assumed full responsibility for the management, operation and maintenance of the Water Companies of Bukhara and Samarkand. The Bukhara and Samarkand Water Supply Project seeked to improve duration of supply, financial viability, safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the water supply services in the cities of Bukhara and Samarkand.
